Education for Excellence

Our Department of Agriculture is dedicated to achieving excellence in academics and research while instilling ethical and moral values in our students. Our curriculum aligns with the guidelines of the 5th Deans Committee of the Indian Council of Agricultural Sciences (ICAR). We aim to produce well-trained professionals equipped for careers in academics, agro-based industries, and extension-oriented applications.

Faculty Excellence

Field Training and Practical Exposure

To provide students with real-world experience, we offer educational tours, farm visits, practical hands-on training, and interactions with progressive farmers and eminent scientists. Our agricultural farms, spanning 5 hectares, are equipped with modern machinery and implements.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum, designed following ICAR's 5th Deans Committee recommendations, includes Practical Crop Production (PCP), Rural Agricultural Work Experiences (RAWE), Experiential learning, and conventional teaching. To enrich students' exposure to agriculture and forestry, we organize visits to fields, forests, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, commercial fruit orchards, horticulture nurseries, commercial greenhouses, research centers, mushroom production houses, and food industries and facilitate interactions with progressive farmers, industry people, and eminent scientists.
