Dr. Deepa Mishra is an accomplished academic and researcher with a strong background in botany and mycology. She completed her Masters from DBS PG College, Dehradun, and Joined Botanical Survey of India as JRF and completed her PhD from the Botanical Survey of India under the supervision of Dr. J.R. Sharma, focusing on the community and dynamics of wood-rotting fungi in the Himalayan forests. Her research journey has taken her across various locations including Sikkim, Gangtok, Guwahati, Kolkata, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.Dr. Mishra has made significant contributions to the field of mycology with 24 research publications, including 4 in international journals. Her research expertise is complemented by her attendance at over 15 seminars, workshops, and training sessions. She has 10 years of research experience and 04 years of teaching experience, and has been recognized with the Scientist Award from Sri Dev Singh University.Previously, she served as the Head of the Department of Science and Agriculture at her former institution. Her specialization includes remote sensing techniques for geological applications in plant taxonomy, as well as floristic and revisionary studies of fungi. Dr. Mishra is also a life member of the Phytotaxonomy and Indian Mycological Society.
